Watsco Appoints Alan Potamkin as a New Director
Mr. Potamkin, 53, is the Co-Chairman of Potamkin Companies, a privately-held $1.7 billion in sales organization with 75 automotive dealerships in eight states throughout the United States. Mr. Potamkin is also founder and a board member of Office Depot for Eastern Europe with 22 locations. Mr. Potamkin previously served as a Director of Watsco, Inc. from 1994 to 2000.
A native of Philadelphia, Mr. Potamkin graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. Mr. Potamkin is also a well-known philanthropist and plays an active role in numerous South Florida charitable organizations.
